January 20th I participated in a movement taken place all over the world. Me and my closest 18,000 pals marched for the Nasty Women all over the world in support of the movement! Though this march was based around female empowerment, this movement of equality welcomes everyone of every race, gender, sexuality and open minded ideas.
The march was filled with many moments that inspired change and hope for the future of equality. Though, one of my favorite moments was when we were posing for this photo and people stopped walking for a few seconds to take pictures of our signs and saying how brave and inspiring we were.

This stuck me as surprising because though I was able to make it to the march that weekend, there are females everywhere being suppressed and abused who deserve so much more credit. And that is who we marched for.
It was so inspiring to see the many different generations of protesters, from children in wagons to seniors in wheelchairs, everyone was standing against the same thing. A nation united will never be divided. I haven’t been able to stop repeating that chant in my head and I hope I never do.
In the recent months, feminist culture has been given such a bad rep and seen so wrong to people who don’t support. Those who are either uneducated, scared, or too ignorant to learn about what it means to be a feminist have called out those who are and criticized them for things they don’t even know about. That’s why initially I was anxious about marching but I could not be happier that I participated and able to share with those around me.
Here’s to Nasty Women all over the world, changing the world.
