New York City packing

The most fun & stressful part of my trip to NYC was the outfits. Maybe it was the fact that I packed the night before I left or the weather, but I was really surprised how happy I was  with my outfits. Here’s head-to-toe my fits.

Day One: Arrival/explore chelsea & times square

This was a very cold and windy day. Emphasis on windy. The temp was about 25 degrees this day but the wind made it feel as if it was 2 degrees.

This coat is a reoccurring idem seeing I only brought one with me, this was the best option. The water resistant, green outside is practical and cute. Along with the cheetah inside which kept me warm all week. The fur lined hood was nice (until it rained) and acted as an ear warmer to save me from the harsh wind.

The converse were an impulse pack as I put them in my carry on as I was walking out to the car. I wore them all day and as soon as We walked out of the hotel room I regretted it. The flat soles were unbelievably hard to walk on for multiple hours & the thin canvas material felt itchy and left my feet freezing.

My moms old Coach bag is my favorite bag to travel with. The wide bag is perfect to hold my camera, wallet, and a full sized water bottle. I usually choose to wear it on one arm but as scared as I was that someone would snatch it or my arm would fall off from the heaviness, I went for the cross body look.

The cream/tan sweater was my airport look and kept me very warm so I decided to wear it out. The v-neck felt chilling so I paired it with my new favorite top, a mesh long sleeve that is tight to the body and looks great under everything. Under a sweater, Tank top, band tee, or over a bralette if you’re into that, it truly works with everything.

I’m very excited about this hat. A week before I embarked on this trip, I headed to zara to get some warm accessories. This hat is so cute and absolutely so warm! The patch on the front is such a cute touch and reads a little poem that I have no idea what it says but I know it’s cute.

accessories, accessories, accessories. I am a strong believer that a good pair of earrings can change a bad day to a good one. I bought my thin, large hoops over the summer in vegas and i’ve been in love ever since. I also paired this look with a gold chain coker with an opal stone and my everyday rings.

Day 2: explore rockefeller, top of the rock, broadway show & the plaza hotel

This was by far my favorite outfit of the trip. We were out all day & never went back to the hotel to change or rest. The weather was nice, not windy but still very cold. We started the day off very early so the first few hours were wonderful & warm.

My new favorite denim are these zara pink leaf embroidered cut offs. I was looking for months for a good and affordable pair of jeans that don’t need to be rolled up for booties. These are the perfect pair because they have just the right amount of stretch and the embroidery is not too much and the color works with anything.

My boots. let’s just take a moment to celebrate that I wore these all day, and this was a long day. We left our hotel around 8 in the morning and did not return until about 2 am because of phones dying & apple store struggles (see pt.2 for more on that) These shoes are absolutely perfect for all occasions and can be worn with almost every outfit. The thick boot heal makes for great comfort and style. The leather on the shoe makes them look way more expensive than the pair was. I also feel these shoes can be worn in multiple seasons. I know those shoes were such a good purchase and I am glad that I have them in my wardrobe.

My favorite basic sweater is this v-back black one from H&M. Normally i wear this sweater alone with just a bralette under it, but the weather was not chill with that so i added a black/grey shirt under it.

Same rings as the day before with my new favorite mixed metal necklace. Day one I bought this at an awesome make your own necklace booth in Chelsea Market. I also wore my favorite choker from my friend Megan and my new jewelry company, bfbeads!!

This adorable brown knitted hat with a black puff ball is cute but not very warm at all. I was really disappointed with this hat because for a not so cheap hat, it should not only be cute but also useful and so it’s job. This hat, if anything, made me more cold. I definitely needed the hood of my coat this day to deal me warm.

Day 3: explore & shop, SoHo, Chinatown, Greenwich

I felt very weird this day and wasn’t in the mood to try that hard so here’s what I got.
